September & October 2020 Reading Wrap Up

Well, at least I’m wrapping up two months of reading rather than four months like last time. So. You know. Progress. In September, I read six books, and in October, I read 12. So overall, not bad reading months, but we can certainly tell that my anxiety brain/current wave of depression are having an impact from my reading numbers earlier in the year.

March. March. March. March. March. March. September.

Or, A Wrap Up of Reads from May to August

Well, I intended to do a quick wrap up of my monthly reads in May and June. And then I thought, I’ll do a quarterly wrap up and include July. And then before I knew it, August was over. Because that’s 2020.

(I’m also extremely grateful to the con organizers for making the decision to take the convention online super early on, so that it wasn’t a drawn out, excruciating process.) I’m going to get more into the actual experience of WorldCon as a convention following the actual thing next week, but first I wanted to talk about the Hugo Award voting.

22 Books I Read in April, or The World is Terrible and I Don’t Sleep So I’m Restarting My Blog

Oh, I had such grand dreams for my blog in 2019, and then those plans got incredibly off track, but as it turns out…

life finds a way

In the month of April, year 45293 of the current global crisis, my insomnia kicked it into high gear to become Extra Strength Insomnia™. Wonder why that would be… Which means I spent a lot of time consuming all kinds of media. Sometimes this manifested in restarting Frasier and Cheers for the eleventh time, and others it manifested in reading as much as possible.
